Billabong Pro Tahiti 2011 Teahupoo

In just 3 days starting one of the most spectacular events of the WCT Billabong Pro Tahiti, one of the most respected and feared waves in the world, Teahupoo.

The TOP 32, plus 2 wildcards will be the faces in what will be the 5th stop of a total of 11 in the world circuit, and forecasts, while not epic, if they are favorable for the start of the competition on Saturday.

For those who do not know, Teahupoo is one of the most powerful waves in the world left. Sharp breaks over a coral reef just inches from the surface, so if you fall in this wave are likely to get hurt. The name, Teahupoo, also helps improve your reputation and that means in the Polynesian language of the "Wall of skulls."
